Schwarzennegger Says He Won't Run

Arnold Schwarzenegger says he won't run for another office in 2010, ending (for now) speculation that he would launch a bid for the U.S. Senate. It's worth noting that "Governator" has a nice ring to it, and there's no comparable Terminator nickname for senators.

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) led Schwarzenegger in a test ballot poll from Rasmussen this month, 50% to 34%, with former John McCain economic adviser and HP CEO Carly Fiorina performing better (38% to Boxer's 47%) in a potential matchup against the incumbent.

and after his disastrous turn at governing he's not very popular in california and not likely to win a senate seat anyway....

Schwarzenegger's rating dropped from 40 percent in January to 34 percent among registered voters in the poll that was concluded Feb. 17

with numbers like those he can make a run at GW Bush and Dick Cheney for least popular republican these days.

how about "the tersenator"? with him being all terse, it'd be a triple fit;)
