Norm Coleman, Meet The Vise

What does Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell do vis-a-vis Sen. Norm Coleman's legal battle in Minnesota? Pressure on McConnell to exert pressure on Sen. Coleman to do appeal all the way past the Supreme Court to God -- will be intense.  Rick Hasen has a good update on where things stand with Al Franken's legal case.

This is steadily becoming a Republican albatross in MN. Basically two thirds of the electorate believes it's only being prolonged for partisan political reasons and if Pawlenty wants another term he has to be cognizant of this. I don't see anyway he MN supremes don't find for Coleman. The resident's of state are also getting ticked by the continual trashing of their electoral proces by the right. MN has one of the cleanest systems in the country and yet it's common to come across talk of rigged elections and corruption in both the blogosphere and even allegedly respectable venues like the WJS oped page. It's all counterproductive.
