Palin To Hit The Airwaves?

Inside Radio reported yesterday that Sarah Palin's camp is exploring the syndication potential of the ex-Governor of Alaska. While it is difficult to imagine Palin succeeding across airwaves given that her speaking style--some call it incoherence--draws much criticism, a national radio show could serve as a potent platform for spreading her views and realizing her resignation-speech mission of effecting "positive change outside government."

The article notes that it will be "an ironic twist" if Palin takes to the mic because of her negative opinion of media. But this "irony" is typical Palin operation. Indeed, the same woman who fought a public battle with Letterman and told the media to "quit makin' things up" in her farewell speech once said in a 2008 interview that Hillary Clinton should avoid anything that could be a "perceived whine" when discussing her media coverage.

Of course, Palin does have a history of enjoying social media. Her Twitter account as governor, which shut down on Sunday, boasts 514 tweets.

But that is media she controlled. Which is why if radio becomes a reality for Palin, it seems likely that any calls she takes from listeners will be screened heavily.

Palin just wants media to tell the truth and to stop making things up....this doesn't mean that all media makes things up and if you listened to her, she very plainly told you this in her speech. What part about "only a small part of the media" didn't you understand. Or is this too "incoherent" for you to understand. I will look forward to listening to her "plain coherent speaking" in any media she chooses to use. This is a country that has free speach and Sara Palin can use that just like you can to express her opinion. So back off and lets see what she has to offer before "making up" a bunch of negatives to try to deny her the freedom to express her opinion in the media..

Nice use of quotation marks. I couldn't have said it any better myself.

What has been 'made up'?

The fact of the matter is that Palin is not a talented speaker and does not betray particular intelligence. You may like her as a person along with the views she espouses but stop blaming "media elites" for pointing out the obvious

Also, when one is elected to public office people are going lie about you. That is how it works. I dont see Barack Obama resigning from office whining about the birthers. Grow up Sarah

Palin is worthless. I can't even imagine what a disaster it would be to have her talking on the air for 3 hours every day. Of course she would probably kill in the ratings; people eat that crap up for some reason.

One thing though -- don't all nationally syndicated radio shows screen their calls in order to direct the discussion in the desired direction?

Sarah's Twitters:

"Great day w/bear management wildlife biologists; much to see in wild territory incl amazing creatures w/mama bears gutteral raw instinct to"

"protect & provide for her young; she sees danger? She brazenly rises up on strong hind legs, growls Don't Touch My Cubs & the species survives"

"& mama bear doesn't look 2 anyone else 2 hand her anything; biologists say she works harder than males, is provider/protectorfor the future"

"Yes it was another outstanding day in AK seeing things the rest of America should see;applicable life lessons we're blessed to see firsthand"

I'm sorry...... Is it piling on? Is it somehow unfair, or cruel, or ....just 'wrong'? I mean is making fun of someone who is so clearly, significantly BELOW AVERAGE, just inherently an act of lesser consciousness, showing a need for spiritual development in ME?

Does the fact that Sarah Palin prostituted herself to the Republikaaner overlords and their anti human agenda and was so astonishingly inadequate (even for THEM), that her involvement as a hypothetical national figure stands as PROOF, of their total disdain for the American people, the governance of the nation, for that matter, the goddamn good of ALL HUMANITY? But does that make it ok for me to laugh at her? Can I justify it by knowing that her presence on the nation political scene was a cynical ploy by truly evil men, and not only did it backfire, it blows up in their faces ANEW. Daily, if you can actually stand to watch that closely.

Is her sad and oblivious, repeated humiliation of herself somehow less tragic because it refreshes the understanding (among those not quite as ignorant as many of her "followers") as to how much the Republikaaners actually feel that they can manipulate the NATION with an essentially charade of government, that would clearly in no way, be ACTUALLY running things?

You know, I think it does....

Here's what I love. The woman who told the world: Obama is a terrorist. Obama is a muslim. Obama plans to teach kindergartners sex education. The woman who said she sent back the money for that bridge to nowhere when she actually kept it - every last dime of it. She told the world only people from small towns are real Americans ... THIS woman is telling others to stop making things up!

What a power of self delusion she has! Name one thing anyone has made up about her and yet I could go on and on and on and on and on about all the lies and slander and just flat out fantasies she has let escape her mouth. I hope she runs for office in 2012 because the slaughter will be absolutely divine!

I am so thankful. If she is on conservative radio, I'll never have to hear her!
I so agree with you JJ...what was made up? Her husband is a secessionist (she asked the McCain camp to lie about his membership,) her daughter was pregnant but she didn't bother to tell McCain until AFTER she accepted, there were questions in Alaska about Trig (not national media, ALASKA) and the fact that she went into labor in Texas but flew all the way home, then drove 45 minutes while leaking fluid (and she cares so much about this baby?), and she has made it obvious that she will do anything to stay in the limelight she denigrates.
And she makes no sense. What was that speech about anyway? Between pointing her trigger fingers at everyone and whining about the media, what did she say? Something about frozen rivers and 150 degrees and roads to Alaska that go north. What?
I can just see her at the first Republican debate. She obviously (and reportedly) hates debate prep because she doesn't think the electorate really cares about facts and figures (she said that!) Maybe that lack of intelligence works in Alaska (for half a term anyway) but it will not fly when confronted with tough questions and smart men like Romney. She will be done before Iowa. Her holier than thou attitude just won't cut it. She truly believes she is a gift from God (she actually signed Trig's birth announcement, "your heavenly father.") I think she needs therapy.

Absolutely amazing! The first radio station to sign up for Palin will be KORN. With her Gov job she could hide from the liberals behind security personnel, cadre of lackeys, and her local yokels. If she hits the airwaves, the liberals will slice and dice the Caribou Bimbo. Her shrill voice and terminal brain freeze incoherent sentences will further demonstrate why no American should consider her for higher office. This could be the start of the decline of conservative radio. I can only hope with a Fairness Doctrine, any show that Sarah Palin hosts will be followed with a show hosted by those great Alaskan bloggers and radio personalities that demonstrated the Queen’s beauty was only skin deep.

Incoherence.
Unfortunately you have to have an IQ of above 90 to follow conservative arguments. If you think Palin is incoherent, you just prove your lack of intelligence.

Incoherence
Talking for longer than ten minutes on the question "How will the new healthcare bill be financed?" and not actually answering the question.

Incoherence.
What happens when your teleprompter displays the wrong speech, and you don't realize it until you've made a fool of yourself.

Incoherence.
Joe Biden's middle name.

Her voice is grating, but if you're a conservative it doesn't matter. If you're well known and your ideology is "pure", you can get a job in talk radio. Doesn't matter if your voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Just ask Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, or Mark Belling.
