Question Of The Day: Should Obama Go To Copenhagen?

The U.S. will propose an emissions reduction target at the U.N. climate talks in Copenhagen in December. Should President Obama go there to make his case in person?

Sure. While he's there he can explain to us why climate scientists should be allowed to hide their data from the Little People.

No. He's only the president of the United States. What kind of moral leadership would he have left to persuade the rest of the world to go along with cuts in emissions? He couldn't get us the Olympics, for chrissakes!

Oh mosquito, those clandestine climatologists, always publishing their data in peer-reviewed journals. It's almost as if they want you to know what they're up to.

You mean the same peer reviewed journals that they don't want opposing information in?

The ice caps aren't melting, so why bother? Besides, as we learned from his Asia trip, it will either be a unmitigated success or a complete humiliation. And what if he bows to someone? Double palm face-plant. Our national discourse is so dumb.

Thank you. Posts like this one are why I not only enjoy reading the blogs but reader responses as well.
